About White Meadow
White Meadow provides a warm, nurturing and homely environment for young people who, for a wide variety of reasons, are being looked after by their local authority and are unable to live at home.
We can provide for young people with a diagnosis of Autism and other complexities such as ADHD, severe learning disabilities, non-verbal or limited communication. We also work from a trauma and attachment-based model and PACE will underpin our day-to-day practice.
Based in Ormskirk, White Meadow is close to a beautiful woodland area where we enjoy peaceful walks. My3 works in partnership with Edge Hill University and we have access to facilities such as the swimming pool, library, training and extensive grounds and gardens.
Through specific My3 induction training the White Meadow staff team recognise and build on the individual strengths of each young person and use their interests to help them to live, to learn and to grow into realising their potential.
We believe that all young people, whatever their history, have the right to develop their own identity, a future that opens a world of opportunity, and a memorable journey of being valued, that enables them to achieve their potential.
The difficulties some young people may have experienced before being placed with us may have left them hurt, angry, let down and distrustful of adults. At White Meadow, our aim is to provide a haven, for them to enjoy, learn and grow positive relationships, within an environment they feel safe.
We have created a video tour of our lovely, healthy and happy home and we invite you to take a look White Meadow Video Tour.
How we see Success
‘After 6 months of being out of education for a long period of time, we are delighted that one of our young people, with a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and PDA, has now been reintegrated back into full- time education. This has enabled her the opportunity to enjoy learning new things, socialise with peers her age and establish a routine. To see the increase in her confidence and self-esteem has been wonderful for everyone in the home.’

How we see Success
‘Having a 24 hour wrap around care, education and therapeutic transition plan has greatly improved the outcomes for our young person with global development delay, speech and language, and other physical needs. After being out of school for over 3 years, the overall improvement in communication and comprehension in literacy, numeracy, sensory and creative arts has been a ‘wow’ for all the staff team, and in just a relatively short period of time’
